PRODUCT DESIGN

In my twenties, I realized that what I always liked to do is design. The whole process of having an idea and bringing it to earth, dealing with gravity and and the particularities of materials.

This is a redesign of a Precious Plastic shredder, made for a client that wanted to put some of them in public spaces to enable people and collectors to shredntheir plastics waste.

The course of the process of design in this case was set to optimise material, only use one type of squared section tube and only one steel sheet. And the machines used where a laser cutter, folding machine and MIG welding. This project was really entertaining.

CATAN TO MY FRIENDS

From the nostalgia of migrating, I redesigned this classic board game in honor of my friends.

It was designed so that everything can be easily manufactured from laser cut MDF plates as the only process.

Klaus Teuber is the creator of Catan, and this redesign was done with great respect, without profit or usury.

PROMETEO

Digital Democratization

It is a personal project, in which with my partner Roberto Helguera Jr., we developed a kit of laser cut wood pieces, with which a 3D printer can be assembled. The main objective objectives of this project are:

​

- Update what is taught in schools, introducing digital manufacturing as a subject. Providing the necessary elements and digital support.

​

- Train students and teachers so they can assemble the machines and repair them. It is extremely important to put students at the same height as their teachers, it generates an extremely positive impact on the team that is formed.

​

- Stimulate local economies by offering a "social franchise" system. In which the development of entrepreneurship is promoted, so that citizens of small places can work right there.

STEEL PROCESSING FACTORY

Nibbler is a company that works in sheet metal work by employing various processes such as folding, punching, sausage and CNC cutting. In this company

I did my internship, in which I was assigned the development of a plastic crusher for the collectors of the city. For these tasks I worked directly with the technical office, which confirmed that I properly used the processes and optimized the material.

It was a six month job, in which I learned the virtues and defects of each industrial process, referring to the work with metal sheets.

Finally the design was approved by the technical office, it was ready to be produced but unfortunately the client got off so it could not be produced, but I left with a very nice experience.
